HonorServes Committee
HonorServes is a student committee in the John Martinson Honors College with the goal of building community between Honors College students and the Greater Lafayette community through intentional, impactful service. It is made up of an executive board of student leaders that head four subcommittees, along with a general membership. Subcommittees represent Food Finders, NICHES Land Trust, Purdue Votes, and YWCA Domestic Violence Intervention and Prevention Program to target issues important to them. During the 2024-2025 school year, HonorServes started a Lead Forward initiative to improve accessibility within their organization. To learn more about this project, continue reading below.

HonorServes Accessibility

Mission Statement
The HonorServes Accessibility initiative exists to provide accommodations to the HonorServes committee, provide education on accessibility to Purdue students, and create an accessibility resource guide for student organizations to use to implement accessibility in their own spaces.

Vision Statement
HonorServes envisions a Purdue community where all student organizations proactively enact accessibility, supported by a centralized website that promotes inclusive environments for Disabled students.

Purpose Statement
To create a culture at Purdue University where Disabled students feel a sense of belonging and can thrive academically, socially, and personally.
